These fun mini penguins are more an assembly job than a bake, making them the perfect little project for kids. It was great fun sticking the faces onto these with my little boy, even though we did get covered in chocolate in the process!
-Mini ring doughnuts
-White and black ready-to-roll fondant icing
-Yellow jelly sweets
- Dip mini ring doughnuts into cooled, melted dark chocolate and place chocolate side up on a cooling rack with a piece of greaseproof paper underneath to catch any drips.
- Before the chocolate sets, give each penguin eyes made from white and black ready-to-roll fondant icing, and cover the hole in the centre of each doughnut with a circle of white icing for the tummy.
- Use flaked almonds for the wings and halved whole almonds for the feet. Finally, finish each penguin with a yellow jelly sweet for the beak.
