Finally the spare room of our house has been transformed from a cluttered make-shift craft room (with a bed in the middle of everything!), to a relaxing, feminine space for our guests to enjoy. I wanted the room to be light and airy, with a touch of colour.

I chose the floral ARTHOUSE wallpaper to give the space a colourful burst of personality, but then kept the rest of the room soft and calm with white walls, pastel pink accessories, delicate ornaments and lighting. The bed was my parent's back in the day and it was just sitting in my mum's garage gathering dust, so this has been a great opportunity to give it a new lease of life - though I remember it being much bigger when I was small! I dressed the bed with a selection of high street cushions and throws, then above the bed I hung a funky 'Good Vibes Only' neon light, just to reinforce that feel good feeling the room! The lighting choices are a mix of copper orb bedside lights (Ideal Home) and an eye-catching copper ceiling light from Matalan. To finish off the space, I just couldn't resist creating a gallery wall, so I added positive prints, a gorgeous gold mirror and quirky eye hooks. As a spiritual person I also included two of my beloved Buddha statues, that were given to me by two very special people - so the room still represent us as a family.
