We finally got round to decorating my lovely boy's nursery and we love it! It's fresh, colourful and has a really nice feel to the space. Moving forward, we will enjoy spending time in this room for sure. Also as a massive bonus, it has a new carpet, which has really made it feel even more special.
I chose to keep the scheme fairly simple, with white crisp walls and pops of colour throughout. I also included my favourite touch of black and white for the main decorative wall with some Scandinavian cross wall stickers. I have tried to keep this room funky and fun, without being too baby-ish, so the room can grown with Emmett throughout the years.
Here are some pics of the finished space....
Rainbow wall shelves:
These fun shelves have been inspired by Arlo's room from Studio DIY. We got the shelves from IKEA and painted each with Valspar matt paint. Once they were hung, I chose books and toys to match each coloured shelf. Each of the books are pre-loved or from charity shops, plus each toy has been gifted to Emmett or us from friends and family.
DIY Monster Stool - This stool was gifted to me, but had a grey top which was not the look I was going for, so this gave me a chance to get creative! Using a fluffy fleece, I stretched the fleece over the top of the stool and secured underneath with a staple gun. To finish, I added these giant googly eyes - making this little Monster come alive!
