A Monochrome Christmas

This minimalistic trend is perfect for those who like a stripped back and simple scheme. Ultra modern, clean cut and bang on trend – the monochrome style is a must have this Christmas!

For some, the idea of tinsel, traditional tones and candy canes are their worst nightmares. For those whose homes are minimalistic and modern, a Monochrome Christmas might be the perfect way to celebrate this year. It is all about ‘less is more’, teamed with black and white crisp tones. Also, the introduction of either copper or grey hints work perfectly and looks stunning against the natural green lush Christmas tree. The question is though, why should we compromise on style just because it is Christmas? Well you don’t have too with this trend, plus by just adding a few hints here and there, you won’t have to deal with usual invasion of Christmas decorations that happens to us all (even though personally I love it!).

Focus on one main tree with a few modern baubles and a rustic star on top, then add simple but beautiful white candles dotted around the room to add some ambience. For gift wrap ideas stick to white thick paper, finished off with black Christmas tree stencils and rustic string. Reduce the clutter within your home, by just focusing on a few decorative pieces and don’t be afraid to have a glitter free Christmas!
