DiY Blonde® is a fresh and funky brand, mixing fun colourful DIYs, Upcycling and Interior styling tips together to give the reader the opportunity to put their creative input on their homes, but without breaking the bank! It is Sophie's mission to loose the ‘mumsy’ tag on crafting and to encourage a younger generation to ‘make’ before they ‘buy’. With the rise of upcycling and homemade gifting, this has been the perfect time for the DiY Blonde® brand to thrive. Sophie also wants to encourage the nation to create the homes of their dreams, inspiring folks to pick up a paintbrush and fearlessly add their personality to their homes through their decor choices. Exploring the ways our homes can support us both physically and mentally is a very important factor that DiY Blonde® is passionate about.

Upcycling & Craft TV Expert, Presenter and Stylist Sophie Prescott is the creative talent behind the colourful and quirky brand DiY Blonde®.

Sophie started her life as a performer, training at the top London college Laine Theatre Arts. Whilst training Sophie learnt how to project her bubbly personality, which has helped her become the warm and friendly TV presenter she is today. Her true passion for being in front of the camera became clear and she found her way into the world of presenting, working as a presenter & voiceover artist for various companies and shows over the years. Alongside Sophie's performing work, from a young age making something from scratch or adapting furniture has always been a favourite hobby of Sophie's. It wasn’t until she purchased her first house, that she then realised that she had a flare for Interior Decorating and DIY. This flare helped Sophie to secure a role as a staff journalist for one of the biggest Homes magazine titles in the UK, Your Home Magazine. Whilst at Your Home, Sophie wrote in-depth articles on the latest Interior trends, property development and home decorating advice. Sophie regularly assisted on Interior and Craft shoots, helping to style each setting for the magazine. Naturally this led Sophie onto then creating her publication, DiY Blonde®. Since the beginning of DiY Blonde®, Sophie has been featured as a Craft Expert regularly on ITV's This Morning since early 2016, has worked for numerous brands, was awarded Highly Commended at the UK Blog Awards and is currently developing a range of TV formats for Television based on the Upcycling and Interiors concept.
